Lesson 10 Conclusion
Some favorite discoveries on this learning journey was becoming familiar with sites like blogger, RSS feeds, and flickr. When these words popped up on the web before, I never knew what they meant. Now I know. What surprised me about this class was the time involved. (I did feel like I was back in school) Finding the time was difficult. Working at my own pace has helped me to get this far on the class and having help from other staff members. I liked that part of the lesson plan. I can't think of any changes at this moment.I probably choose to take another class in the future. I like how this one was set up and the that we get continuing education credits. I was concerned about looking dumb, but it has been ok. Staff members have been very patient. It was also resuring to know that Laurel would respond when I had a question.

Lesson 9 - Wikis
Being able to add, remove and edit the contents with the wiki's makes it hard to know for sure if the facts are true from day to day. Example on wikipedia was information on Abraham Lincoln's assassination where one of the flags at the time of his death was used to staunch the flow of blood after he was shot. The flag is on display in a museum. I would have to ask for a reliable source for this information before I could use it as my source. This is probably why teachers don't recognize this as a reliable site for reports. However, this information could have already changed.I went to the Bull Run Library and found the Green Libraries Unconference which is being sponsored by the Alington Public library. The site brings people together who can share ideas with each other. The event is free which encourages people to attend. Also, the event is conducted by the participants who are involved rather than outside people. We are having a health fair at our library, and I can see where a Wiki would come in useful.

Delicious- Lesson 8
http://http://gothamist.com/2008/02/18/baking_substitu.phpHey, I like this. It would be very handy if you are a serious baker or just for fun. This could be a time saver for people who are looking for something unique. The site is packed with different ideas and creative foods (Cooked bacon used as a salad bowl). Very fun. Another one was a pizza chain in china from Pizza Hut (You guessed it all fish) . I think the delicious site is a hoot.

I liked this little girls body language, and expression on her face. She was totally in charge of the conversation. She seemed very relaxed and drank her drink as though nothing was out of the ordinary. And according to her nothing was. She was not inhibited at all. She was cute.I picked this video because it reminded me of my three year old granddaughter.Generally we could use any children's book for discussion.Lesson 7

Lesson 6
I thought this was going to be about children's music. It was more about viewing the world .http://podcastalley.com/podcast_details.php?pod_id=32067# Students could use this as a starting point to write essays on their own world views.
